Integral RAM anyone?

Has anyone used Integral RAM before, Im thinking about the x2 2gb 6400 Kit from PC world that going for £50.

Of course its going into a gaming PC has anyone used this RAM before am I going to loose anything for not buying more expensive say PNY cosair RAM?

If you can find the serial number/model number for this memory put it in google and see what it comes up with. Some high end memory gets rebranded sometimes, but normally by other high brand names. I know my G.Skill is actually some Corsair XMS2 I think.

This however, judging by the place your purchasing it from, the cost and the brand name, sounds like bad news already.

My recommendation is to avoid. I'll update this post in a bit with some better options for you

EDIT: This seems your best bet for DDR2. It seems more expensive than DDR3 these days, so if you have a board that supports DDR3 too by any chance I'd look at buying that instead.

I had the 2gb kit before I upgraded to my 4gb and it wasnt that bad. Best price I've found across a few pc e-tailers, with or without your free delivery option.

see if anyone else wants to add any suggestions first.

Yeah I thought it looked too to be true as well.

I'm looking for some cheap DDR PC3200 RAM myself, 1GB or 512 sticks only.

The cheapest 512 sticks I've seen were over £10.

Edit: Oh I see these are DDR2, my mistake.

Ahh I have been buying alot for DDR recently for all our work PC's...Its more dam expensive than DDR2! Don't quite understand that one.

I have 2gb already but only @ 533mhz is it worth me buying x2 1gb of PC2-6400 to replace it until I can afford another 2gb of 6400? (I 32bit OS but going 64 bit on purchase on windows 7 =) )

I have a couple of 512mb sticks. Just branded samsung on chips/512mb no other info tho assume is DDR as at the time thats all i had. Long time ago tho..
If you want em cheap let me know and i'll pop a classified add up (obviously stating untested happy for returns)

Im sure i had integral ram in my old acer as standard, was fine in that.
That corsair only 15quid more tho..

sorry only just noticed you added to your reply ill check that out! I was looking at scan aswell seems very well priced thinking of getting my new HDD from there also!

I am pretty sure my board only supports DDR2 ill take a quick look!

Humm looks like i'm stuck to DDR2

Im am getting a bit of a bottle neck And I felt its down to the Ram but I am wondering if it may be my CPU now

I think your current bottleneck would be the speed of your cpu, try clocking it up to 3.00ghz you will notice a big improvement.
