got a HDMI cable to use my pc to play games on mt tv in the front room

so i set it up and its been working
Today i must have accidentally pressed something as it no longer works
it wont detect my tv ..even when there is only one display connected
if both are connected the monitor shuts down and the tv doesn't find the signal

i think ive messed up the resolution setting was trying to get the tv to output 4k turned it to 30hz and it doesn't work but its now stuck there
i took out the dvi too monitor but my pc doesnt show up
with both connected as soon as i connect via hdmi my monitor turns off but tv is not on
windows 10
gtx 1070
any ideas ?
thanks in advance

[Windows Key P] can be useful in circumstances like this, even if you can't see any display you can press up or down to select one of the options :

It should at least be able to get you back to just the monitor and then setup the resolution/display properties correctly for the TV.
