I heard it is set between 1 and 2, so Half Life 1.5.  We are halfway there

Would love to see a proper HL3 but not sure it will ever happen. HL2 is probably still my favourite FPS shooter.

I asm still waiting on nibres HL2VR mod... however all seems silent on that front, it seems his new passion is a Halo Reach VR mod which he is working on, and the alien isolation mother mod may also be getting an update.

Both very worthy causes but, give me hl2vr already (please ). Part of me wonders - even more so now - if Valve asked him to halt work on it, which if true would be a real shame... i have no idea if it is true, but given how much progress was made over 2 years ago, it does not really grok with me why development would just stop.  IF he has lost interest and is enjoying modding other games more i would expect him to release what he has and let someone else run with it.

another problem is, so long as he is maybe working on it, other modders will keep away and pick a different game even tho HL2 is prime VR support fodder.

It's a prequel set before half life 2 playing as alyx and it's a vr only game apparently. Its a flagship title though.
