I dont think it was ever meant to be much of a shooter tbh, there was an achievement on the 360 for completing it without killing anyone, i expect that was how it was meant to be played

it wasnt for me, then i played it alone and it seems made for co op, ive realised i am one picky bastard

Funny you shoudl say that, i've just done that actually. I normally use Gamerankings.com but our new work system blocks anything with games / gaming etc in the address so i can't, but Metacritic is still accessible.

The scores are decent and higher than i expected.

Is the DLC stuff decent then as i could be tempted to purchase...?

Although part of me is thinking the Steam sale is round the corner so do i need to bother because it'll probably be way down the pecking order by the time i ever get to play it.....?

Is it the sort of game you can boot up for a quick session to pass a bit of time, or one you tend to need longer sessions.... if you cna jump in and out I will be more likely to get it.

I wouldn't bother with the dlc and just get the main game. I have clocked it twice now with over 100 hours of game time. It's an action rpg with plenty to explore and loads of action. The storyline is also good and you want to see what happens to everyone in the game. Yes you can jump in and out if you wish or play long sessions. When the game was released it was my game of the year. I can't recommend it enough.

I have it on 360 but never really got into it. Looks good graphically though and I'm sure it's a good deal for the game and a few packs of DLC for £5
