I've traded up in Game in the past and they let me do the transfer standing at the counter in the shop.   Not ideal but better than losing anything.   The only caveat is that both devices need to be online for the transfer.   Tethered mine to my mobile and it all went swimmingly if a bit slow.   Probably around 20 minutes.

I'll ask them if they will do that for me!only other option is to try and sell for £40 on classifieds,same as trade price,therfore then I can sell after bought smash bros one!

Can't he transfer it all to the computer?  I'm pretty sure I transferred all my stuff to a new memory card so if he does that and then does the game transfer... it should work, no?

I done that other day as bought a 16gb card,saves seem ok with that!full games on there too!

Why nintendo don't have games linked to ID instead of console/handheld beats me!

When I got my XL a few years back, I got the white Mario Kart 7 3DSXL bundle & redeemed the stars from the preinstalled MK7 & got Mario 3D Land for free.

My only worry is that there asking for you to register handheld and a copy of smash bros!with it already pre installed not sure if they have you a rewards card for the game?

The Mario Kart 7 3DSXL bundle I mentioned is preinstalled & you get a rewards card inside the box.
