I ended up ordering 2 from Nintendo although I'm sure one will get cancelled due to their "1 per customer policy" and have the backup on order with Amazon.

Reckon I can buy some extensions to the controllers beforehand as I sit about 4m from where my unit needs to he positioned

Pre ordered in store with Game. Luckily my missus was able to pop in on her lunch break and was willing to stump up the £50 deposit after seeing how cheesed off i was after trying to pre order one last night.

Still im not 100% convinced ill get one. Im going to book the day off and get down there first thing. Also perfect excuse to play Secret Of Mana all day.

How good is the scanlines effect on the original Nes mini? Is the scaling good when using a HDMI cable on a 1080p screen.

I've played most of these classics on emulators having never owned the console when it was out all those years ago.

There's just something about the prospect of playing Zelda from scratch having never actually played through A Link To The Past

It's not aged at all in my opinion. I had the cart back in the 90s and loved it, then lost it/sold it or something. Bought it on the Wii U VC earlier this year and played the whole thing through in 3 days.

I played at most a few hours a month of games these days with other commitments, but Link to the Past is just so good I had a blast playing it over 20 years later

I loaded my 3DS wallet up with credit expecting to be able to buy it on that before realising I needed the 3DXL. I was particularly gutted!
