xbox one s no picture on bluray discs

Hi guys.

I've just got the console but for some reason there is no picture when playing bluray movies. There is sound and can see menu of the bluray app but no picture. Have tried a couple different movies but the same problem.

I've played Forza 3 and works fine.

Any ideas?

Not sure if you've tried this.... I did a google, and came back with this link...

Your screen is blank after you begin watching a Blu-ray disc
This can happen if Video output on your console is set to Allow 24Hz. To turn off Allow 24Hz, follow these steps:

On your wireless controller, press the Xbox button  to go to the Home screen.Scroll left to open the guide.Select Settings.Select All settings.Select Display & sound.Select Video options.Click Enable 24Hz to turn off this setting.HTH

Definitely sounds like a picture setting error.

Make sure your Xbox is set to output 1080p

the same thing happened with me on ps4. are you trying 4k on old xbone? just making sure cuz that wouldn't work
