Hello prob a silly question but I've never had a upgrade in console. Im currently playing destiny 2 on Xbox 1s, If I was to buy an Xbox 1 x is my progress saved on a cloud so I just log into the new console and carry on or do I have to save it to an external hard drive?.

It will be saved in the Cloud, you would just carry on as normal.

Exactly as above, although backing up to a hard drive can make the re-install alot quicker. I got a One X last week and to re-install Call of Duty WWII and Destiny 2 it took around an hour and a half to download and install those games. Then about 2 hours to install Forza and Wolfenstein from discs (with very large updates though).

I had everything on my XB1S on an external hard drive . When my XB1X arrived I did the required update - signed in and connected my external HDD - everything was there and ready to go. I had already downloaded the 4k assets for the game
