Question Retrieving an uninstalled game

UPDATE: SORTED!  I recently acquired a free xbox one Sea of Thieves bundle with Virgin Mobile. I entered the code,and the install started. As it was taking hours,ie after 30 hours still only 35%, i thought i'd cancel and start again.
So im a complete newb to this,im 57 and havnt played a games cosole since the 90's!
I obviously cant use the code again....have i lost it?
