Sony DH820 sound issues with PS3

Hi, I have my PS3 linked to my SONY DH820 AV receiver via HDMI. When I play blu-ray discs the sound is fine and I can select any sound field.

When I watch bbc iplayer through the PS3 I can only listen to the sound on certain sound fields.  (HD-DCS, concert, sports, hall, jazz, stadium). None of these are particular good for the content I waNT to watch.

I have adjusted the sound settings to bit stream but this hasn't made any difference.

Would really appreciate some guidance if any one understands what I'm doing wrong.

Press the A. F. D button on either the remote or amp.

I have tried this, but there is no sound when on A.F.D, this is the same when watching sky go on the ps3? Blu ray and games are fine on A.F.D, i'm at a loss why this is?

Have you gone into the sound settings on the ps3?

Yes i have played about witht the settings but whatever i've changed them too i still have the same issue. What would the settings need to be to rectify this?
