I recently came across a YouTube video of a chap who had acquired a multi arcade cabinet setup. Was about 60 different emulators, with joy sticks fire buttons on either side for 2 player action. It appears to work well based on what was shown/presented. Sorry I can't find the video now, but it was not a full blown giant sized arcade machine setup either, was more like a desktop sized arcade machine, so easily transportable and can be sat anywhere.

How easy and affordable is it to get hold of a ready to go machine, that plays 100's or 1000's of the 8/16/32bit classics?

Has anyone bought an arcade cabinet, and loaded it up with all the emulation files themselves? Would be quite interested to hear what other people have done and what they recommend?

My experience of emulation is quite limited, and consists of installing MAME, a SMS emulator and one or two others on my PC many years ago, and downloading and using the roms.

How encompassing does it need to be? I use a modded Wii for most of my emulation needs and it runs great and covers most things. Pretty simple to setup too.

I've just completed building mine. Cabinet comes pre made and all you have to do is put it together yourself.

Bought an old 19" monitor of eBay for £10. Works a charm. Oh and has 100000 games on it!
