I know in the grand scheme of things that award shows like this mean nothing etc etc but RDR2 not to win anything is beyond farsical.

I'll hold my hands up and say I've not played GoW, I don't own a PS4, and I'm sure it's a very good game(friends that have tell me it's fantastic) and I'm sure is deserving (in some way) of winning best game, but really, did it get the votes as it is more of an instant gratification game, looks great, fast action etc. Where as rdr2 is a slow burning, emotional, story led masterpiece. Did anyone at bafta play all of rdr2, I very much doubt it

GOW is the best game have I have played in years.
Absolutely incredible game that deserves all the awards it gets.

GOW war is a true epic. One of if not the best game I've played. RD2 is a great game. However, it's not perfect. On the other hand I can't find a single negative against GOW.

I hold both franchises close to my heart. Stories are comparable quality wise and it's not like GOW is a quick game either. You need to invest a good 30hours   to get the most out of the story so instant gratification doesn't sum it up well.

The world Rockstar created in RDR2 is probably the greatest I've spent in a sandbox game. But how do you categorize that ? Gameplay wise it's cumbersome. Graphics are beaten by others. Its score and soundtrack didn't resonate or leave an impact on me. It's a great game. But once you analyse the individual parts, the competition best it.
