I like to swap my Harmony every year around BF which avoids the dreaded dull button syndrome.
There is a page on the display which becomes a number keypad for devices that need number key entry. It works ok but can be a little sluggish. You can also add touch icons to the screen for your favourite channels, which gives a one-click access to them.
If you really want hard number keys then the simpler Companion remote (no display, no backlit buttons, coin cell operated) might be a better option. Amazon were doing them for £70 all week last week, and put them up to £100 when they brought down the Elite (they like to mix it up!)

I'm swapping our lounge Elite for the Companion to have the hard number keys as the lounge is losing the projector etc when I do the garage conversion.
If you really want an Elite and they don't put them back on for CyberMonday, I bought two on BF (one to keep, one to move on on eBay and make a couple of quid). Season of goodwill and all, I'm happy to help out a fellow forumite with duff buttons and do it for cost appropriate insured postage. If you would like, reply to this and I can make a classified listing for it to keep it all above board. |
