Have been a long term ebayer, never used Amazon but giving it consideration. I like the fact you can apparently send large volume of items to Amazon in one or two shipments, then just forget about it and let them take care of the sales for you.
But it seems Amazon fees are hefty. However is this perhaps negated by improved sales prices, and a better footfall audience?
Ebay has inconvenience with returns, and paying postage for buyer to return a perfectly good or even opened brand new item, just because they changed their mind. You end up paying postage twice and your still left with your original item. Does Amazon reduce or eliminate these issues?
Can anyone who has tried both services, put a bit more meat on the bones here?
In particular:-
1. How do people find Amazon and Ebay compare in terms of profit margins after all fees are factored in?
2. I am familiar with Ebay, but what are the main downsides to using Amazon by comparison? |
