Hi oska!

No worries matey - you gave me great advice & help - many folks on You Tube also fully agreed with you about the EMOW being a great bit if kit! It is a bit upsetting to have to have the battery die out so soon tbh - that fact that it has happened to two of us just on these forums makes me wonder if they were from a bad batch? It sure would get an expensive hobby if one had to replace batteries every few weeks though!

I will probably get two in the future now & have one as a back up - I have written to VV & they asked me to send the battery back to them so they can check it out so fingers crossed they will send me another one & as I did nothing to make it break!

As the iStick 30 is newer & updated I might choose that to be honest (it is the same size as the 20) but what advantage(s) would the 50 offer may I ask - I am just thinking it might be better to get the 50 for a few pounds more & not have to upgrade later? Good or bad idea?

Unless you are going to be using drippers and sub ohming anytime soon you won't need it. Lower ohm atomizers require higher watts to give big clouds.

I have been vaping 2 years and still only use 8 Watts max. My Sigelei is 30 watts but I doubt I'd ever use it as I have found my happy place.

I agree, probably get the 30W version if it is improved, the larger top is nice too if you upgrade to a bigger sized tank in the near future.

Hi oska,

Once again, thanks for saving me - I was going all silly again getting myself distracted by the biggest, baddest & newest! Your help & that of others helps keep to a dunce like me nice & grounded and not get too ahead of myself!

I think I will do exactly as you state - probably get the new 30W version so in future I can use a bigger tank if need be & hopefully it will last a lot longer than the EMOW battery both in daily use & longevity! I initially thought it is so small it probably might not last very long as it is quite powerful but so many seem thrilled with it which must mean it's pretty reliable - wish the battery was removable & replaceable though one of the models you mentioned!

It should last a day and a half to 2 days depending on use. I imagine you will use it around 8 watts.

You could of course go with a replaceable battery model but then you will need to buy batteries and a charger. Also you would need a 510-eGo adapter for the Emow tank as most only have a 510 connection.

So far so good with my EMOW, but I'm only a week in. As with others, @oska helped me, but I also did my own research and was happy to go with it after watching the youtube reviews.

I have a couple of small issues with it however.
1. My hands smell of caramel and I think it leaks very slightly from the air vents.
2. The battery comes apart easily, but it's very difficult to unscrew in order to refill.

The actual vaping is excellent and much better than my brother's itaste starter kit that I tried at the weekend. I don't really want to spend any money yet on an upgrade as part of the idea was to save money for a lads weekend coming up in April, so hopefully the battery doesn't let me down anytime soon.

When you say the battery comes apart easily, how do you mean? Is the top loose?
I'll take a look at an emow tank and see how it's put together. I've used Kanger tanks for nearly 2 years and never had any major issues. The odd leak but that would be because of flooding or something wasn't sealed properly.

Sorry, I didn't word that very well.
The battery is fine, it's unscrews from the body without any problems, but it's difficult to unscrew the clearomiser when I need to do a refill. It's as if some liquid has got into the threads making it sticky. I've just cleaned it so hopefully it's not a major issue.

Will pitch in here rather than create another thread...

Been vaping about 6 weeks now and not touched a fag since. I bought a Ce4 Ego kit initially from Liberty Flytes but have just switched to a Kanger Mini Protank 3 as I like the idea of the replaceable dual coils. Very happy with the Protank although I'm surprised the drip tip is push in rather than threaded - mine is a bit wobbly

I've only got a 650 ma battery and its not lasting me all day so was looking to push that one to a spare. Any recommendations on a decent, cylinder style battery that will last me all day ? I see the istick is recommended a lot on here but would prefer a cylinder rather than square

Was looking at these from VaperCaper

Okay the Emow/Mow  has 5 parts.
top to bottom
Lets call them...
Drip tip, the mouthpiece
Tank, the glass/stainless section that essentially holds the liquid.
Coil, the replaceable part that screws into the base.
Base, the air vent part that connects the tank to the battery.
Battery, the long cylinder that powers the whole thing

I've never had the vent part threads get sticky, but I've not delved into caramel.custard flavours...yet.

Base
Whenever I'm filling or fiddling, I make sure the coil is screwed nicely (a good finger tight is fine) into the base, and the seals on the coil are in decent condition, I give the tank connection threads and seal a wee wipe with a piece of kitchen roll.  I've never had to clean the chimney seal but I do always check that its clean.
Tank
I also wipe the tank threads  after I fill him up, NB I only ever fill about 3/4 of the way up the wee column in the tank (with the tank upside down for filling). When reassembled, the tank looks about half full when it's sat the right way up.
Battery
When I'm putting it back together, or before I recharge it, I give the battery tip (the disc inside the battery connection at the top) a wee wipe, and also give the base of the coil a quick wipe.
Finally I give the tank/base joint a quick wipe after re-assembly.

Seems like a bit of a ritual, but its all helping to replace my smoking rituals.

I now have 2 Emows, and a spare tank that I swap in/out for different juices, and so far no serious leaks/smells etc.

Well done, coming up on 3 weeks for me, and I still have no urge to smoke.

I might be tempted to stay with a Kanger battery, same charger, manufacturer etc.  purely because I don't know enough about chopping and changing batteries and chargers from different makers etc....Kanger chargers are cheap enough, so I have 2 of these one for the car, one I keep at work, so I don't get caught short.
Google shopping  for "EVOD battery", they will come various capacities and colours, as mentioned I'd be tempted to stick with genuine Kanger..
I use 1300 mah batteries, and they are more than enough for a day's tooting.
