I've no problem with that law.

Since I stopped smoking ciggies and went on to e-cigs about 4 months ago I've treated them just the same (except in hotel rooms). I'd never thinking of taking a vape inside a restaurant or bar.
I was surprised to see a lot of people vaping indoors when I was in Leicester last week.

I'm of the same opinion really, I don't think you should expect to be allowed to vape where you're not allowed to smoke.

Me too.

Was down in Devon last week and watching the FA Cup final in a pub and was great to enjoy a puff indoors with a drink though (after asking landlords permission)

I have to disagree on that one. Having to go outside with the smokers is not ideal for those struggling to quit the real thing. I think it's particularly a problem at music venues that in some cases not only insist you vape outside but herd you into a tiny pen crammed with real smokers. It's not in itself a problem for me but I have a lot of friends that would have happily stayed inside and vaped but once outside they opt for the real thing.

I agree vapers shouldn't have to put with cigarette smoke, and by law any venue or establishment can't make you. My point is why should non vapers have to put up with vapour.

I disagree.............the Law specifically identifies "smoking" as

(a) “smoking” refers to smoking tobacco or anything which contains
tobacco, or smoking any other substance, and

(b) smoking includes being in possession of lit tobacco or of anything lit which contains tobacco, or being in possession of any other lit substance in a form in which it could be smoked.

There is NO tobacco in an E Cig and nothing is "lit" or being smoked. No smoke is produced, so why the need for a ban?

Because it's incredibly inconsiderate and whilst we may know the long term effects of ingesting the ingredients, we don't yet know the long term effects of vapourising them. So again, is it fair to expose others to this?

If I walked into a bar that had a heavy haze of lingering vape then I'd be inclined to turn around and go elsewhere.

Well the same could be said for coffee, perfume, food etc if you are referring to the smell. You make a fair point about unknown long term effects though but until there's even the remotest amount of evidence to suggest that second hand vape could be any kind of threat then I think banning them on those grounds is daft. Living in London, I'm pretty sure there's plenty of other things mixing with the air that we know are problematic that we need to worry about before second hand ecig vape is our biggest concern...but then at the moment this is about Wales.
