Hi all, I have been vaping for the last 2 months and have reached the almost un-thinkable target of 10 weeks without a cigarette.

Quite simply I love vaping but have some questions - these aren't life or death but they're bugging me!

I have a Innokin Coolfire 4 Plus - this one Cool Fire IV Plus | Vaporizer - Innokin

I haven't messed around with the settings other than the wattage I vape at.  If I set it at 20W it is too low and I don't get a hit, if I set it 40W  it is too strong - I normally vape at around 32.5W and this is fine.

In terms of juice, I buy from a local shop in the North East - Uptons on Chillingham Road.  I have just bought some more juice from there - 100ml for £25 which I think is ok?  The nic value is 6mg which I think is just about right for me.

My questions though are to do with the buttons on my device.  I seem to be able to set the volts and there is an ohm reading too - I have no idea what these mean and it is annoying me that I have this device in my hands a lot of the day and I am a bit clueless with it!

I am also a little confused when people mention "mods" - I have no idea what these are and I am interested in learning more!

In terms of how I vape - I possibly vape I don't know, maybe once an hour during the day for a couple of draws but more, way more, if I am drinking!  The settings I have etc are fine, I like it, but I am curious about having a fiddle to see what happens!  I am also more than open to buying a new vape as I am a bit of a gadget freak!

regards volts....its just a different way of measuring the same thing(power applied to the tank/coil)....like mph and kph.
Usually the manufacturers print the recomended power on the coil...
25-33 was what I used my (innokin) isub tank at..
Regards the ohm reading..that is the resistance of your coil.
Isub tanks have a 0.5 fitted as standard....this will increase slightly as your coil ages/wears.

Generally the lower resistance the coil the more power it will need to hit its sweet spot.
The wee coolfire is a cracking mod but really not enough capacity to be running at 30  watts ....you'll be charging every night with a possible top up during the day...basically you'll kill the battery fairly quickly at these wattages.....a coolfire plus would be better 3300mah as opposed to 2000mah.
Edit...re read your post and you don't seem to be a particularly heavy user....the small coolfire may be just fine for your needs.

It is the plus I have mate. In terms of charging I'm doing it every few days, sometimes just once a week, so that might show my usage?

Get your juice online. You can get 200ml for the same price you are paying for 100ml from the likes of mole juice

nope!

a 'mod' is the battery holder with the screen on, i.e your coolfire is a mod. it's short for modified device from the days when people used to make them out of old torches and such.

a sub-ohm vaping device is usually a temperature controlled 'mod' with a tank atomiser or a drippable atomiser (rda/rdta) attached to hold and vapourise e-liquid

google a beginners guide to vaping, there are communities out there far more knowledgeable than avf

I gave up on the ecig forums going back when one well known one was closed due to some problems with a well known ecig supplier.
Plenty of good advice here to be found, just need to ask and someone will pop in.

Thanks all. What's the difference between a dripper (I have no clue what this is) and what I have I think which is a sub ohm atomiser (I think!)
