Been vaping for a couple of years now and I am wanting to try some new flavours.

I've pretty much always used Halo Menthol Blast and do still like it.
I've been wanting to try some new flavours and found a pear drops one which I like.
My problem is when i have been buying samples flavours to try I can't get rid of the taste of the previous one so I'm not getting a good taste of the new one I'm putting in.  For example I put a lemon one in my tank after my pear drop one and that was horrible.  Now I'm trying a berry blzst one but all I can get is still the after taste of the lemon one.

Any tips on best ways to clean the tanks to get rid of the old tastes or should I be using different tank each flavour?

Are you wicking your own coils or using pre-builts ? A lot of the previous juice is going to sit in the wicks until you've run a tankful or so through.

If I'm changing juices I tend to take the tank apart, rinse in warm water and dry thoroughly with a lint free paper towel. Don't use loo roll as it leaves quite a lot of fluff behind.
I don't always re-wick per juice change unless its something strong, like a menthol etc

I use pre-builts, will that make much difference?
Currently using a Innokin SLipstream (0.8 coil) tank and also have a Innokin iSubV (0.5 coil)

Juts a little less flexible in terms of cleaning out the old juice by cleaning\rewicking. Apart from separate tanks, one thing I used to do when I used prebuilt coils was swap them out when using menthols etc. It means you need to keep track of which coil to use but it would help. I would disassemble and clean the tank either way

Thanks for the info mate.

I'm guessing it could be a good idea after cleaning and putting in a new flavour to maybe let it sit for a day or two to soak into the coil as well then.

Yeah clean the tank well with water basicly giving it a good wash and dry.
You can get away with a few puffs without filling tank to get rid of a bit of juice in the coil but 3 or 4 not many more.
I usually put mine back together dry and have few puffs then fill tank and puff a lot for next 5 mins or so till new flavour comes thru.
Best to puff like mad untill flavour comes thru fully.lol.
Still good idea to have a couple of same tank on the go aswell.

Tried this with my Slipstream tank.  Cleaned out with hot water and dried with lint free towels as recommended.  Stuck in a new 0.8 coil, primed this well and let the tank sit with the new liquid (lemon sherbet) for a good couple of hours.  First vape and not too bad, no residue of old flavour left at all.

So as far as getting rid of the old flavours this has worked a treat.

Now my next problem.....
Basically what is happening now is what has put me off different flavours previously.  Now I think it must be something I'm doing setup wise.  What happens is I get the on the draw in I get a decent taste of the flavour that is supposed to be there, then at the end of the draw and on the exhale the taste suddenly just changes to what I can only decribe as a harsh or slightly bitter/burnt after taste.
Now I have tried this on a few different setup and always seem to get the same result.
I have tried several different mix liquids (60/40, 50/50, 45/55) and all seemed to be the same effect.
Also I have tried on a few different tanks, batteries and coils and I can never seem to get it right.

My setup at the minute is the Innokin coolfire 40w mod, Slipstream tank and 0.8 ohm kanthal coil.
Now the coil states 20w to 35w.  I have tried pretty much through the range of wattages and also with different air flow (seems to be not as bad with more airflow).

Anyone got any thoughts on if my setup is wrong or what I could do to try and get rid of the after taste?
