For me, it's not about power it's about temperature.
Every juice has a sweet spot in terms of what temperature will evaporate the flavours and bases in such a way as to just taste yummy.
I use a TC setup and when i press fire and take a draw the power pumps into the coil at around 50w, rapidly reducing to around 20-30w to maintain the temperature I've set.
If i was on power mode, i could use a 50w setting, but then I'd either have to draw a hell of a lot stronger to keep the coil at a good temperature, or just accept potential burnt / dry hits as the coil and juice overheats.
i could also just use a 20w setting, but then I'd have to wait for ages for the coil to get up to the correct temperature before i could take a draw. If i didn't I'd be taking weak draws and it wouldn't be that great.
It's a bit like cooking something on the hob - you don't always whack the heat up to full power and cook until done - a lot of the time you bring to the boil, then simmer for a while. |
