Battery charger

Well it seems time to buy a new charger.
Ideally I’d like to charge 4 batteries at once at 1a but it seems it’s only [email protected] 0.5, 2 @ 1a and 2 @2a.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Also going to get some new batteries as some of mine are just dire now [emoji107]

Look at the new Xtar Dragon. Batts go to Fogstar and then find the ones you need.

I’ve got an Xtar XP4 but it isn’t that good a charger. It will at best charge two batteries at 1a but will often drop below 0.5 and takes ages to charge batteries.
I’ll check out fogstar and see what they have.
As for batteries I’ve been using Basen which have been good and still hold a decent charge but my other generic batteries need replacing

The dragon will do 4 batts at 1 amp but as it’s fairly new it’s cost is high.
Just make sure you have the right batts to match your setup, even more so if it’s a mech mod.
If that’s the Black Basen then I would be double sure to check what it’s being used for as it’s got a low amp rating.

I’ll check out the dragon and I am more than happy to spend the money if it works and it’s what I want.
I’ve found the black basen last me at least a day if not more at times and I’ve had them nearly a year [emoji1303]

That’s great, just note it says 40amp on the cover but it’s just 10amp and tests carried out failed at 15amps so if you change coils and see the amps ramp up beyond that don’t use it due to venting.
How these battery suppliers get away with it is just not on.
If in doubt and you need to check batts out there’s a guy called Mooch who has tested most of the batts out and there’s lots of vids where he is chats about batteries.
There is also a steam engine to help.

It does include many batts but not all but you are looking at the amp being pulled at the settings you select. With that you can seek out the best batt for your use.
I’m guessing you are using a low wattage setup and pulling well below 10amp.
