'Radical rethink' needed on food

Hilary Benn is in the news talking about how Britain is going to deal with it's needs for food in the future.

I think we should stop using bottled water.  Tap water is perfectly fine and a luxury that millions of people don't have.  And we have to waste money on bottled water.  Ridiculous.

Completly disagree, my tap water tastes awful compred to bottle water, I also like a good stock of sparkeling water.
That way it's always nice and cold.

Bottled Water should be banned. People who don't like the taste of tap water should invest in a decent water filter instead.

And I doubt a filter would change my tap water to the taste of natural spring water.

I also wouldn't know where to begin to change the filter or add one, and what happens when it doesn't get changed, do you get ill from contaminated water?

and how is water food, and what about when the water companies have burst mains and you have no tap water and you happen to live in the middle of nowhere bottled water will be better.

Hilary Benn has also said we should all go vegetarian as the grain etc we feed the cows in the West could easily be used to feed the entire world's human population.
