You will find this hard to believe but most of the weight comes from 2 small motors, without the 2 motors it comes in at a very managable 30kg

Its a shame I couldn't take out the motor then. I managed to get the Elite 507 in the end, for a rather respectful £300 on eBay. Although getting it into my apartment was challenging. Thankfully GB Movers in Windsor were able to help.

I did want to ask though - does anyone know how to turn the beeping down on the machine, its louder than the motor!

Minority - Apologies for hijacking the thread. In my opinion the Elite 507 is really good machine, you would be hard pressed to find another with such good build quality. I did try the Nordictrack treadmill's and found them to be very loud, especially with each foot fall.

Might be worth contacting horizon if it bugs you too much, when I removed the   
the motors they mentioned a service menu I may have to go thru but upon reconnecting it all everything worked fine for me so I never contacted them again.

Hi,

Old thread but was hoping some of my fellow buyers of horizon 507 elite could help.

I have just dismantled and cleaned part of my treadmill and want to lube the belt but not sure if it wax or lube I need.

I think the belt is cotton but wondered if anyone could confirm this?

Having just recently sold my treadmill - this is the lubricant you will need (I'm sure other silcone based lubricant will also work).

Thanks for that wasn't sure if it was silicon or wax I was suppose to get this Pure Silicone Oil Treadmill Lubricant 150ML Lubrication Kit for Home Treadmills

Any chance you know the size of the Allen key I need as I need to buy one to put on the lube and tighten it as it slipping a bit.
