put a bowl of water with some vinegar or lemon slices in it for 5 mins (don't let it boil dry).

Or get a washing pole open the window and press the "on" button from outside.

Id say clean the inside of the microwave with some clean soapy water and, if the weather isnt bad, leave the microwave outside with the door open.

Have you tried cleaning it yet? Maybe use some oven cleaner stuff.

Dont Aldi have any other Microwaves on offer at the moment?

ok will try oven cleaner, open it up see if any damaged wiring, then hot water in a casserole

Don't think I would put oven cleaner on plastic.
