Hello.

We are going to go down the route of avoiding pre-bought sausages, mince, burgers etc and making our own.

There are quite a few on the market - can anyone recommend anything, please?

Have you by any chance got a kenwood mixer of any sort?

I’ve used various attachments on these including really old ones, great results for mincing meat, I think the modern ones have attachments for, sausages and all sorts.

I've got the Kenwood attachment, and one of these:  Butchers Shop Electric Food Mincer and Optional Accessory Pack | Cookshop | Coopers Of Stortford  Also available without extras Butchers Shop Electric Food Mincer | Cookshop | Coopers Of Stortford
I would say it's equivalent in sturdiness to using the Kenwood.  For heavy duty use you probably want to spend it bit more like the caterlite busterbenny found.
