Glasses Lenses

So I had an eye test at specsavers and it turns out I'm shortsighted, not dreadfully but still glasses are advised for driving. Not having done this before I bought a set and some sunglasses on their 2 for 1 offer - still expensive but given a quick look online no more than anywhere else.

Having done some research I see there are different types on lens you can buy from the likes of Zeiss etc. Has anyone paid more for a better quality lens from a high end manufacturer and if so do you notice the difference?

No point in spending money for extra thin lenses. Get the standard ones and spend the money on coatings instead like anti reflection.
