My almost 17 yr old son is currently studying for his AS exams having completed his GCSE's last year. He's doing Business Studies, P.E and Food & Nutritional Science for A Level.
His ultimate goal would by to go on to University and Study Physiotherapy. As the entry requirements are very high, I'm looking to educate myself on the alternatives if he doesn't get the grades.
As well as being a physio, he would also be very interested in becoming a PT/strength and Fitness coach, and be someway working with a team on a regular basis. He's been very active in various sports from a young age, and has been doing boxing 3 nights a week for the last 3 yrs. He now coaches the juniours once a week, and also takes Gaelic training when needed for Under 14's. When talking about his future, he always says he wants to get up in the morning and put a track suit on rather than a business suit.
I'm starting to read up on various courses but was after the experience of those who have gone a similar route. What would you advise? |
