I have been using SuperPump for several years on and  off, and when I work days, I train in the evening, so use HIGH5 tablets, as they dont keep me awake unlike SuperPump, it certainly does what it says on the TIN!

Well it Did, getting a bit peeved with the QC lately, had 2 bad orders, and now to top it off, it seems to slowly be dissappering/ no stock,

and after sending them an email about the bad tubs, and getting no reply, i think my money can go elsewhere,

Just wondering who else takes Pre work out powder and which one they use/recommend, I've looked on amazon but reviews seem hit n miss,

just to add, I used to be a Kickboxer and/or train regularly, but now hitting 51 im not in the mood to be punched!

but do train approx 60-90 mins 5 days a week, and the drink helps especially in this heat,

Pre workouts are mostly placebo. If you a kick then have an expresso with sugar. There supplements companies are unregulated and will say anything to get people's money.

need a better pre workout meal (maybe a an hour or 2 before training) - wont have to worry about pre then.

I'm 49 and also train 4-5 times a week for upto 90 minutes a pop and take a pre-workout...

main supplements are creatine (10gr a day) stacked with beta-alanine.. but as a pre workout I will pop a caffeine tablet or 2 (200mg each) depending on what I'm doing, and I also bought this as it was on offer and I like it..

Complete Pre-Workout™

Well I normally start training between 9am and 10am , I don’t train well on a full stomach especially doing kickboxing/ cv, even porridge an hour or two before is to much,
I have some natural Greek yoghurt an hour before I train every morning, then porridge and berries after, , i also have a protein shake between that and a main meal when I do weights,  certainly won’t be up at 4am to have a meal in t8me for training at 9am !

Thanks for the pointer , do you mix that with milk or water, what I do with superpump is mix with water and chill in the freezer for an hour, then take some 30 minutes before I train and during training as it’s quite refreshing and keeps me going while I’m working out, maybe taking a caffeine tablet or two instead and just hydrate with water during training is the way to go, but as they say old habits die hard ,

£30 a pop for 40 servings is getting too rich for me, but it does work weather that’s a placebo effect or not, I do feel a difference, but I try and have time away from it so I don’t get use to it,

Just be nice to find a reliable cheaper alternative, preferable UK based

yeah, the pre workout I have with around 250ml of water (20 minutes or so before workout, but think at least 1/2 hour is ideal)...but bulk powders do a couple of them, one a more advanced one..and they nearly always have sales on too...

caffeine tablets normally cost around 5 quid for 200 and are very handy to have, they say 300mg is ideal for someone of my weight (15 stone), but the tablets are usually 200mg so I'll have 2 if I don't have my pre-workout otherwise I'll just take one...

I did try that jack3d before they removed the banned ingredient (MDMA?) and that was like rocket fuel..!

would be better to try a carb based intra workout to sip during training then maybe... definitely look at Creatine daily if youre not already taking it - great stuff.

Yeah just had a read about creatine, myprotein (currently using for impact whey) do one called creapure creatine, they suggest taking it with the whey protein , going by some of the reviews re the flavoured creatine, buying unflavoured and putting it in the whey seems the whey!! to go , might be just what I need,

yeah, it's decent stuff, you don't just need to take it before a workout - but as long as you get your recommended dosage in a day...some people are happy with 5 grams, but other 10gr... I take around 10Gr, I buy the 'chewable' tablets which cost a bit (lot) more, but I have them in my car and tend 10 take 3 when going to work, 4 when driving home, and 3 on the way to the gym... read up on the creatine - beta-alanine stack too...

Creapure® Chewable Creatine

tho, I never pay full price for them as they always have a sale on..
