Electric Fan heaters

Hiya,

I have kept a spreadsheet of my Gas and Electricity bills for the last couple of years and I use 2 means to heat my house, either the main wall heaters (which heat the whole house) or a portable electric fan heater which heat the room I am in.
I have found the heating using the electric fan has been cheaper and more effective, so this year I am thinking to use this more than the gas wall heaters. For this reason is there a good, low energy Fan heater that anyone can recommend please.

No.  1KWh is 1KWh.  The only option really available is to have a fan heater that doesn't blow too hard.  That way the 'chill factor' would be less, so a lower temperature would be more acceptable.
Other options include an electric fire (radiative) which will warm you if you sit in front of it.  Or a wooly jumper.
I won't suggest a wooly hat, because wearing a hat indoors is almost as bad as wearing a hat while driving.
