Sunny boy inverter app

I have ordered a PV system and want to monitor real time how much I am producing so know when to use the washing machine etc.
I am going for a 4kw install with the immersion heater to get the most return.

I have seen a sunny portal app on the App Store - does this work straight from the sunny boy inverter as it is Bluetooth or do I need something extra for it?

I am getting an immersun immersion heater to use any unused power.
I am also getting the web connect for the sunny boy inverter to monitor from iPhone.

Never fitted an immersun unit but understand they are a fraction of the price of a Emma unit. Hope it monitors properly or you could be in for a shock when your electricity bill comes in!

They are £500 - there are cheaper ones.
I will be keeping a close eye on it as I am getting smart meters so can see real time usage.

After all, of it works as it should then what's the point in spending more than necessary.

Will do, I know how much I have been using over the last few years so should be interesting to see how much I can save.
