Wireless immersion heater

Is there an immersion heater/thermostat that I can replace the current one with to see what temperature it is at a glance as I am getting the PV solar immersion controller to divert any excess power to the immersion heater and I would like to know how well it is heating the water.

If you just need to see what temperature it is at, would something like this work?

The tank is lagged - I do have an IR temp gun but though there might be a proper one for the immersion
