We sell far more than aircraft to Saudi Arabia. You'll find there are a lot of people in Yemen who are angry at us because Saudi Arabia has been using British made ordnance indiscriminately against civilians. Sky News reported on that a few months ago.

I don't count Saudi Arabia as a reliable ally, they are only interested in our weapons. They are still exporting Wahhabist Islam to the world. One of the main driving forces behind Jihadist terrorism.

I think France sold Exorcet missiles to Argentina just before the Falklands war. Then Argentina used them against us.

For info: the Belgrano was at one time a US WWII battle cruiser warship which was sold to Argentina.

Yes, it was beforehand.  Mitterand put an embargo on any more sales when the conflict broke out and kept the UK government informed as to what French planes and weapons it had supplied previously.  The skeleton in the closet is a French team was present during the conflict showing the Argentinians how to use them in defiance of the embargo.

It is quite possible that the recent Islamic attacks are emboldening young Muslim who for most of their lives have been at a Muslim school. They believe if they shout Allah or some other verse for the Koran their actions are justified.
