finding something funny or not funny is a subjective opinion, regardless of the actual content being factual.
Humor doesn't have to have any basis in truth.

The juxtapostion of diametrically opposing views being switched around has been a staple technique in satire for centuries.
As is the use of the surreal.
You might not like it, you might not get it, but it makes it no less a tool of satire and comedy.
(of course I might actually be crap at making a joke, but that should be based on the actual joke itself rather than an attempt at disqualification on the grounds of not fitting the approved format of what constitutes humour according to specific individuals). |
