Possibly because Turkey never obtained evidence of the murder in the way they claimed (Apple Watch uploading to cloud?), but covertly through spies/surveillance.

Would assume all embassies are bugged these days. The apple watch upload claim is up there with the al Madani body double attempt. All smoke and mirrors tbh but hope it all comes out in the end.
