Absolutely terrible news from New Zealand with forty shot dead, twenty more injured and a number of cars with IEDs that were stopped.

Far right extremists, at least one of which was Australian were to blame.

I've got family in New Zealand, and it sounded so idyllic and peaceful.

I hope this isn't a sign of further far right extremism to come.

Live streamed on Facebook apparently. From the BBC report
The Australian suspect is believed to have published a manifesto outlining his intentions, in which he espoused far right and anti-immigrant ideology.

He also appeared to have livestreamed on Facebook from a head-mounted camera as he shot victims in a mosque. Police called on the public not to share the "extremely distressing" footage online.

The Daily Mail show the start of the video up until he gets to the the mosque doors and extracts from his manifesto

49 confirmed dead. Really hope this isn't  the start of something, especially far right terrorist attacks from foreign nationals like this guy. Watchlists are about to blow up with these radicalised far right networks - they are HUGE.
