Tommy Robinson is Evil but Nick Griffin is OK

         How does this work exactly? Tommy Robinson aka SYL gets booted off of Twitter, Facebook etc, hunted and hounded but Nick Griffin leader of the National Front is ok and has his blue tick to confirm it.

It's a good point. To be honest I'd completely forgotten this prick existed. He's just as vile, and as much a sh*thouse as Robinson.

But then there is a real disparity on social media with regards to prohibiting content. Many profiles aren't penalised at all for example, despite spreading views that come into conflict with the platform's "supposed" values.

There are plenty out there and on these forums too who hate TR with a passion and dont miss an opportunity to re-affirm their views regarding him, so i expect they will be just as outraged by this.

I think there's as much distain for Griffin as there is for Robinson.  The difference, as far as I see it, is that Griffin doesn't seem to get his face all over social media etc like Robinson currently does.  Social Media is driven by popularity/trending topics and reports against accounts.  If Griffin isn't in the news, or as publicly visible, maybe people aren't reporting his accounts?

I'm sure there are a whole host of nasty people with social media presence.  If they're not being reported as regularly, the likes of Twitter/Facebook etc won't close them down.  I don't think it's somehow a direct acceptance of Griffin but not Robinson.

Have you reported him for anything specific on Twitter/Facebook?  I haven't seen much of him across any Social Media recently (which is an excellent thing).

Don't do ****ter and havent yet bothered to look at his FB page, im just surprised there is so much hate for TR, so much so that he gets removed from SM yet the leader of an official far right party is fine and dandy.

Maybe you are right and the authorities fear TR more because he has a great deal of support across the board as opposed to nazi Nick whose just a useless racist with not much clout.

I don't think the authorities fear TR, just that his annoying gurning chops get shared all over by idiots who think he's a patrioot sticking up for the little people.  As a result, he probably gets reported more too.

As for Griffin, he's an equally abhorrent scumbag but if he's not getting reported (that's only my guess), the Social Media administrators aren't going to arbitrarily remove him otherwise there will be cries of 'thought police!' from his equally scummy supporters.
