On 2 July, in a debate on the subject of pet theft, Onasanya made this convincing plea in the Chamber for ministers to consider raising the sentence for a serious crime:

‘I want to highlight something that I hope the Minister will cover. The lower the category, the lower the sentence, with little in the way of repercussions. That makes the crime even more attractive because it is low risk and high reward, so that needs to be borne in mind when looking at sentencing.’

I expect a greater sentence than Huhne due to the not guilty plea, but will serve less time, if any ... possibly suspended and tagged, will use MS as mitigation (and/or insanity over her god bothering delusions she's currently exhibiting). Don't see her not taking the Chiltern Hundreds, as it's not easy being a pariah in the social media age.

Trouble is she has the Westminster complex - considers herself above the law and on a different plane to those outside of the Westminster bubble.

Wow. I’ve not seen anything as deluded from an MP for a long while and this is in the height of the Brexit shambles too.

What a complete embarrassment to the Labour Party and MPs in general.

It’s good that Corbyn ‘deplored’ her and says she should quit, but she should be booted out. Especially given her recent nonsensical statement.

I believe she has lost the Labour whip and is currently "an independent." He called on her to resign as in "step down as an MP."
