Possibly, all depends on the Judge and the seriousness of the crime.

At least some sort of justice has been served - a bit light IMO given her 2 occupations but hey ho - the judge seemed to go from good cop/bad cop quite a lot during his sentencing.

Former Labour MP Fiona Onasanya jailed in speeding case

Under laws introduced in 2015, any prison term, even a suspended sentence, leads to a recall petition, which will be open for six weeks and can force a byelection if signed by 10% of voters in a constituency.

Because Onasanya, 35, has appealed against her conviction, this may not happen for several months. The recall petition cannot be opened until the appeal process has concluded.

Jeffery Archer, got a pretty hefty sentence - 4 years. That was for perverting the course of justice and perjury. I suppose it depends on how big the lie is..
