Ask any Corbynista if they think the BBC is impartial and they'll probably tell you to go autofornicate. The fact they piss off entrenched ideologues (which so many here are) on all sides is proof enough that they try to maintain impartiality. Only have to watch Newswatch every Friday to see exactly who their complainants are, mostly fanatics of a cause they see bias against. Confirmation bias at it's finest! What does piss me off is their frequent pandering and over-compensating when accused of some bias by those who shout the loudest, and their rigid interpretation of balance meaning total fudgeing wackjobs and waste-of-space rent-a-gob "commentators" are given a platform alongside leading experts with facts, and that they let an obvious bigot's complaint go all the way and be upheld until a shot of common sense from the country forces them to see how they've been taken for mugs. |
