Simples - Long extension to try and get her deal through. In theory she could keep proroguing parliament until her deal is passed. But that would probably trigger confidence votes and I doubt the Tory Party would allow her to do it anyway. And the Queen might get annoyed at having to attend state opening of Parliaments every few weeks.
The choice now appears to be a long extension to Article 50 to allow for a GE or Second Vote or No Deal happens either as scheduled per EU/UK Law or once any extension to article 50 has lapsed. |
