I am no fan of Corbyn but he has had a part in the demise of both Cameron and May.
For Cameron, it was Corbyn's lacklustre support for the Remain campaign. Cameron had relied on Labour effectively marshaling their forces in support of Remain. Instead, Corbyn was luckwarm and did very little, inaction that probably helped swing the result and cause the downfall of Cameron.
For May, it was Corbyn's refusal to compromise sufficiently to pass her deal that ultimately did for her.
How important or instrumental those contributions were is, of course, debatable. But here he is, still standing two Prime Ministers later. Will he outlive a third and perhaps, as part of the Rebel Alliance, bring him down? |
