Hi there,
Im using an old M Audio Oxygen 8 midi controller to use in logic X, and its starting to go abit wrong, sending wrong midi signals, like, turning up transpose..
So i thought, time for a new controller, ineed some keys on it, and some knobs and sliders to map to my synths, i came across the M Audio Oxygen 25, got it, and was hoping it would work OK, and as i already use M Audio, i thought it would work out of the box.
Plugged it in to use it it asked if Logic can assign knobs etc, i say Ok.
It didnt work, the lights are on the keyborad, but no midi is getting seen or any thing being played( well it wouldnt, no signal),so im thinking its broken.
I emailed the ebay guy i bought it from, he messaged back with a link to a forum where lots of people are having nightmares with them,No Signal or sound when using Oxygen 25 with Logic Pro X on Mac OSx Yosemite.
starts from 2nd post.
I am gutted, out of pocket, no controller, .
Ill need to sell it, and i feel bad if i dont mention this problem, so if i do sell, ill cut down the saleabilty..
Has anyone here, used this keyboard and Logic X and found a workround?
Also, what would be a half decent controller? has anyone got one for sale.
ive been up with my mate since friday trying to get it working, he has a new Arturia minibrute, and i couldnt use Logic properly, so frustrating.
Thanks for reading..
Malk.

Malk - if bought from E-bay then could it be that it has been programmed for a specific setup in its previous life ? I would try a factory reset to see if that helps. According to the manual then pressing the - and   buttons during power up will return the system to factory settings. Just bear in mind if you have made any setup changes to the controller then these will also be lost.. I've never had any issues with M-Audio keyboard controllers to be honest.
Worth a try if not already done. Good luck

I don't have Logic Pro, but have successfully used an Oyxgen 8 v1 with Garageband using the driver found here:

http://www.m-audio.com/support/download/drivers/midi-usb-driver-v3.5.3-mac

I'm currently using El Capitan 10.11.5, but the page where I found the above link says it also works with Yosemite. You might find this also works with Oxygen 25, as I think they are of a similar age?

Oxygen 8 Series and OSX Yosemite

I also own an old M-Audio Fast Track USB interface. This used to require a driver, but at some point in OSX history became "class compliant" and now doesn't need one. I had to remove the previously installed driver to get it working! The above link suggests this may also be true of the Oxygen 8 v2.

Just a lil update, after what seemed like years of fiddling about with that controller, and getting frustrated as I can't take it back to a shop( eBay purchase), I sold it on ebay.
I just about got my money back, and had a think about why it wasn't working, I've a feeling it was alot to do with the awkwardness of apples logic, and it not wanting to play along. So, after alot of googling, and thinking, I jumped the logic x ship, and dived into ableton live 9.
I went to maplins, bought another oxygen 25, the one with drum pads on, plugged it in, it worked fine.
I wonder if it would work in logic x, it did, but still there were things that was making me think, it still could go wrong.but by now, I'm already out of the apple awkwardness, and didn't know this, but, ableton, uses VST and AU!!.
Straight away, in preferences, I choose the controller, select just 3 boxes, click midi, and fiddle with the knobs, voila, all mapped out, turn it off, and on again, yup, still rememberd it.
Its still on the curve of learning, but so far, been quite an interesting (bit stressful) move.
Oh, and I've had an arturia brute plugged in, and again, one click it was tempo matched etc.
