I have 2 pairs of Bose 802's and a Bose controller   two older but workhorse yamaha pwoer amps and a small mixer.  I use 1 pair of the Bose with a 400watt amp and small mixer for small gigs for my son but when I do charity evenings or help my other son out the 802's lack base.

Years ago the302's tandem bins were meant to run side by side with the 802's but their too big for the car. What subs can I use with the 802's that are as small as possible ?. I read the 302's had a built in crossover. I had chance of a pair of Bose B1's from the L1 system but I wasn't sure if these would work with the 802's.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated on how to achieve more base and which speakers are compatible with the 802's and the Bose controller

To be honest.  Any, the bose controller is just a crossover.  Run signal out of mixer to controller, then to amp one then the 802.  Output of controller (secondary) to amp two into bass bins.  Maybe one decent 18 will do?  Look at Behringer gear, its ok, but not tour standards by any means.
