I Watched a documentary about the 90's pirate radio scene and it got me thinking how the hell did they scrape the large heavy equipment together lol
Back then it would of had to be pretty expensive specialist equipment but they still managed to even set up stations from moving cars!
I have looked intot how easy it would be nowadays to set up a legitimate statio but I was surprised that even today it would take a massive amount of equipment and well over £1000 to setup a station?
Watching the documentary tho they made out it was the "chav" types of today who were setting up these stations but I can not see how they could afford the equipment
I do remember tho in the 90s my friend got a present which was basically a toy where you made your own radio station abit like a kinect set, I am unsure if it worked tho lol
Surely in 2018 we have come further to the point it is cheaper to get on Fm air without needing 20 pieces of equipment? |
