Need Tech Help Tascam 788

Putting together a Pwr Supply for a 788 and need to know the pinout for the mainboard jack. Shield = Ground, Pins 3-4 = Ground. Are pins 1-2-5-6 all hot? (12VAC). Came without the P-788 and have a few nice supplies that can be used. Thanks in advance----Jim      p.s. jack is the PS2 jack

Were you successful in constructing power supply for Tascam 788 Portastudio?

I am in the same boat, have suitable 2 x 12V AC power supply, just need to confirm pinouts for mini 6 pin din connector.

On the back on the jack solder pins 3 and 4 to shield. solder pins 1 and 2 together and pins 5 and 6 together. You now have three connection points. Play with your transformer leads, hooking up just two wires together so you have three leads. you should be able to get it to read from lead 1 to center (dbl wires) 12v and from lead 3 to center (dbl wires) 12v and from lead 1 to lead 3 24v.
