I have a portable amp that I wish to use away from the mains, it has an internal battery and integrated wireless Mic reciever, the problem is that the grip of my Mic is permanently sticky to the touch, it's like the rubberized grip has deteriorated, it's a shame because it's an decent little portable PA but it doesn't work with my other wireless mic, has anyone had similar problems with an older Mic and if so how did you solve it?
I have tried various different cleaning products including solvent based decorators cleaning wipes, but as soon as the solvent has dried the grip is just as sticky!, I am now trying to think of some way of sealing the surface of the grip, it's either that or try stripping off and replacing the rubber if I can find a suitable replacement material...
Any assistance would be gratefully received folks
