Forbidden Planet: Is it just me?

(.com) They never seem to want my business...

There have been multiple times where I have emailed them a question on stock and never got a reply. I emailed them again a week or so ago asking why they have Volume 1 and 3 of a series but not volume 2 as I was looking to buy all 3 at once - they're in stock at a couple of other sites for a couple of quid more for the lot. Either way if they had replied to me and told me they couldn't get #2 or something then I'd be fine and probably order 1 and 3 with them and 2 elsewhere... however I can never seem to get any kind of reply from them so I'm just going to give up trying to use them online and will only give them business the rare times I pop in to the stores.

Has anyone else ever contacted them pre-sales and had a reply or am I just invisible?

What, a thread about Forbidden Planet, but nobody seems to have posted in it, just a completely blank thread. One would have thought that at least Iccz would have put a word in... Strange...

Yes, groan, I'll get my coat...

... but first, I've only ever used FP once for mail order, and the experience put me off - I'd ordered a couple of cheap Dr Who Weeping Angel statues for a friend as a stocking filler a few Xmases ago, and they took well over 6 months to eventually arrive - I'd actually forgotten about them until they showed up... I only ever use them nowadays for in-store purchases. Since I work not too far away from the Shaftesbury Avenue shop (when I'm in the office, anyway), it makes a nice treat for those days when I have to drag my hairy ass out of bed at 6am....

I have not bought anything from .com in ages, as I normally prefer going into the shop and dont mind paying the extra few quid for instant gratification, but I sold my Y the Last Mans so I could buy the Hardback versions instead and they are only £15 on there and always seem to be in stock, so I may find out if it is just you or not when I start to order them next month.

Newman, me you and Hillskill should meet up and buy the stuff that Iccz wants from FP, take photo's of it, and then give the book away to some bemused foriegn tourists.

I've ordered what I wanted from thebookdepository now anyway.

But still I've now had bad experiences with both the .com and the .co.uk and would probably not use either in future unless they were the only place that had stock.

It's a shame they don't have a store up here in Milton Keynes, or that there's not actually a shop here (that I know of) which sells comics and GNs other than the likes of Waterstones who don't have a great selection of what they do have.
