Agreed maybe not that big.
I've not used the Kindle app on a phone or tablet but on my PC whilst it remembers the book being read it does not remober the page you are on, at least automatically, I guess there are bookmarks you can use.
So I was imagining the two scenarios
Kindle
Slide power switch - page you are reading is immediately displayed as good as instant.
Tablet (assuming the Kindle app is like the one on my PC)
Boot tablet
Locate Kindle app and select it
Kindle app starts and displays the front page of the book you are reading
Scroll through the pages to find the point you are reading
That's the difference I was trying to convey. A tablet may not be 30s but I doubt it is instant (< 1sec) either.
It's the instantness of the Kindle that I was trying to describe. For example you are reading the Kindle - the telephone goes. You put the Kindle aside and talk for 30 minutes. You pick up the Kindle slide the switch and carry on reading where you left off. There's never any shutdown, boot up, find the right application, find the right book, find the right page to be bothered about.
Cheers
