I like both of these but I think that the Kindle just edges it. Having said that I've haven't seen the Nook.

Really happy with my Paperwhite.

Yes, totally happy with mine too, using mine in just a pouch case as didn't want added weight of the Bookcover case.

The case is v good though as it has the same "open to wake/close to sleep" function that the iPad cases do.

I read the Kindle has a function to read back to you. Is that a function on most of the ebooks or a rare few?

My old Kindle does that, so would imagine the rest do.

I have the cash from the missus to get my Kindle Paperwhite, just need to find one in stock!

The old Kindles do it. I don't think the paperwhite does it as it has no speakers or headphone socket.

It allows further functionality including managing collections better and open SSH

I haven't read my Kindle for a while - had a stack of real books to get through! So I charged it up and started organising my library once more (Just finished the first Stephen Deas Dragon book) and once the Paperwhite was charged, I found that the light had bled so it looked like I had four faint dirty fingerprints spaced across the bottom of the screen

I spoke to Amazon via web chat last night, and after some diagnostic tests a new one is on its way Friday, hurrah!
