Not entirely on topic, but it reminds me of a time a good few years ago, I happened to be passing our local charity shop and had a quick look at the books inside. I picked up a couple that I thought my wife would like, paid for them and took them home. Upon presenting them to her I was told that she had already read them and had in-fact given them to a charity shop only recently

I'm an amateur book reviewer. I really only read history books. I try to read a book a second time before I write a review.
The last two I read were: A great and Terrible King: Edward I by Marc Morris which without explaining, is an outstanding book and Kursk The greatest Battle by Lloyd Clark which had good moments but ultimately spoilt by poor proof reading and a few soppy bits!

Think I've read Count of Monte Cristo about five times now.  One I keep coming back to.

I'm just finished re-reading The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, the first book I've ever re-read. I haven't read it since the summer of 82. Do comics count? I re-read them all the time in collected form, mostly Marvel and DC Golden/Silver age, things like Masterworks, Omnibuses and DC Archives. I just finished working my way thru Amazing Spiderman Masterworks no 1 - 15 and FF Masterworks no 1 - 12. I've also started re-reading Judge Dredd from the beginning having recently discovered the Casefiles. Again stuff I haven't read since I was a kid.

Man oh man, I have reread so many books it's unreal. Tom Sharpe's Wilt read at least 10 times, all of his other books at least 3 times. Now that I read on the IPad I'm rereading more books.

I'm trying to actively not re-visit books. At the begining of 2013 I decided I was going to read 1000 books I'd never read and at 1 book a week it would take me 19 years. So far I've managed 88 books so I've got to get into the habit of hitting 1 a week.

I recommend Frank Herbert's Fluke - very different to his usual work.
