Best non Apple tablet or Kindle for comic books and Manga

Hi, recently got a new job which means I'm back commuting fair distances. Figured I'd read stuff rather than play games (Tetris only holds my attention for so long HAH!)

This is probably a good time to catch up on all the comics I have missed out on over the decades past. Been meaning to pick up Lone Wolf and Cub but rather than grab the graphic novel I thought I'd research into a good Kindle or tablet to read on the tube.

Any recommendations for something with a great screen (obviously) and ideally a zoom option for those hard to read speech bubbles?
